Hello friends and family!
Last week we discovered a true hidden gem here in Barcelona; The Carmel Bunkers. At the top of a mountain in the center of the city a bunch of bunkers from the Spanish Civil War offers a 360 degree view over Barcelona. The celebrated view from Gaudi´s Parc Guell have nothing on this less-visited but much-loved lookout.
Stina, Angeline and I decided to go a bit “fancy” and brought wine, cheese, crackers and chocolate, making sure we arrived just before sunset. And what a sunset it was. Flamingly vibrant and colorful it was one of the best I´ve ever seen (and I have seen Hokitika, New Zealand) It was just one of those perfect moments with lovely friends and delicious Lindt chocolate that I will carry in my heart for a long time. When the sun disappeared behind the mountains, the lights of the city begun to glitter and together with our Italian friends we sat mesmerized for a long time, the cold forgotten.
